FAQ

Why buy through you?

We curate home media from different countries and labels. Though these labels often have their own storefront, shipping is not always easy. We group together the orders to both keep shipping costs (and environmental impact!) low, and give Hong Kong consumers more options.

Why does it take so long?

We work on a pre-order model. We take orders for 2 weeks out of the month, put in the order with our suppliers, and wait for the disks to arrive in Hong Kong, then we immediately ship them out to you. Some disks take longer than others, depending on label and shipping speeds, but they’re worth the wait, I promise!

Can I cancel my order?

You may cancel your order and a full refund will be issued if your request is received before 11:59 of the closing day of the pre-order period. If the pre-order period is from October 1 – October 14, you may request a cancellation and full refund before October 15 00:00.

This movie sucked. Can I have a refund?

No refunds or replacements. Sorry you didn’t like it. Replacements may be possible depending on availability of damaged disks.

Who Are you?

Flash Future is a collective of film professionals working to provide a more exciting offer of films for the audience.

Why “Flash Future”

If you know the whereabouts of any of Kirk Wong’s OCNs, please let us know. It’s a lifelong pursuit.

Who still buys home media? How can I watch it?

You can play Blurays on your PS 2 /3/4, and UHD on your PS5 (lucky you!). Home media is mostly treated like a collectors item these days, and it’s important to keep in mind that your access to films is dictated by what streaming platforms, television executives, cinema bookers and other gate keepers think is important. If you like a movie and want to make sure you can watch it when you want, keeping a copy is the only way you can be sure that when you turn on Netflix, the license has not already expired.

I like something else the label is putting out. Can I get that too?

Write us! It’s always interesting to see what people like. We might offer it in the future, or, if there is enough interest, order a few copies.
